Forest Bathing Walk at Wood Lake Nature Center

  • Wood Lake Nature Center 6710 Lake Shore Drive South Minneapolis, MN, 55423 United States (map)

In honor of May Mental Health Month, The Lynhall is hosting a special series of events focused on applying holistic and self-healing methods to aid in the recovery and prevention of depression, anxiety, and chemical dependency. Our general mental health and wellness is an undeniable facet of our health that affects every aspect of our daily lives, as individuals and as communities and we hope you will join us for a vibrant and engaging series that integrates science with soul.

Join us for a Nourish Series event with Motz Studios! Experience two hours of Shinrin Yoku—the Japanese art of “forest bathing”. Backed by scientific studies, Shinrin Yoku is a slow, immersive, and meditative walk through the forest that has been found to reduce stress, boost immune function, increase focus and productivity. Forest walks encourage you to slow down and reconnect with your senses.

The walk will take place at Wood Lake on May 18 from 9am to 11am, led by David Motzenbecker, founder of Motz Studios. Snacks and tea will be provided, and the walk will be limited to 25 participants, adults only.

Tickets are $30 and a portion of the proceeds benefit The Long Table Fund.
